Oma's Trip ~ 12/20/02 #2 -- False Alarm
Dateline: New Orleans, LA
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1:18pm
Apparently early labor... but she was ready... even
walked up the 3 flights of stairs at my place to pick
me up on the way to the hospital.
    Up the stairs
She had called the doctor's office and they told her to
go to the hospital so we took a rather leisurly drive
across the greater New Orleans Mississippi River Bridge
and on to Lakeside Hospital. When we were almost there,
she said "NOW THIS DOES'T HURT, but they're about three
minutes apart."
STAY TUNED...
She went to admitting and then we headed upstairs but
stopped for a picture with future great grandmother.
    Admitting ~ With great grandmother
They hooked her up to all kinds of monitors, checked
the baby's heartbeat, Stacey's blood pressure and for
labor pains, etc... When the doctor came in, he said it
was early labor and that the baby was "high as a kite"
and she wasn't ready... unless she wanted to induce,
they could go home... so we headed out the same door we
came in -- with discharge papers in hand.
