Oma's Trip ~ 12/25/02 -- NOT YET
Dateline: New Orleans, LA

Stacey called about 4:15am.. it kinda sounded like
there'd be a good chance for a Christmas baby... Chris
was still asleep and she was gonna let him sleep as
long as she could... but maybe only til 5am???

She called again at 5:30am or so and suggested I "mosey
on over" there... which I did... We headed out the door
and over to Chris' folks home and opened presents...

...then to Stacey's aunt's home for the same routine 
plus eggs benedict.

Stacey didn't eat breakfast... just had some Ritz
crackers and took a nap... Her labor "pains" weren't
much more intense than they were yesterday afternoon
and she was told (by a nurse at the hospital?? when she
called) that IF she could SLEEP thru the pain, then it
wasn't all that bad yet (that's exactly what I thought,
too) and that she's probably be more comfortable at
home until things get more intense... Her pains were
only lasting 30 to 45 seconds (and have been like that
a long time) and I think have been 3 to 4 minutes
apart...

Early afternoon
We ALL decided to try and get some sleep so I came back
to my apartment and they went over to Chris' folks --
at least there's no barking dog there to keep them awake...

9pm
I'm still in my apartment... waiting for a call... I
suppose we could still have a Christmas baby after all???

9:30pm
They're home now... got a little nap earlier... they're
going to bed now..

...and hoping we'll know something 'soon'...
