Got steak on the grill and baked potatoes on tonight's menu... and my
sister's wine rack is full -- she says for the "first time ever"... 

Two Refugees Added

My daughter's Godmother/Aunt and her cousin (Abby's Godmother).

Both are R.N.s at Children's hospital and have been there all this
time, but they finally closed Children's Hospital and actually had to
"caravan" patients in their own PERSONAL vehicles to the New Orleans
Airport to be moved from there to who knows where... they're both tired
and hot, but feel much refreshed after a shower and then slept most of
the afternoon.

My house is in Jefferson Parish... on the WEST bank of the Mississippi
River that is supposed to be high and dry... it's the EAST bank with
all the problems/flooding... Jefferson Parish sheriff won't let
anybody go back till 6am Monday... we'll probably avoid the initial
rush and drive down Tuesday or Wednesday, but just to get some more
stuff to bring back to my sister's.. we're gonna be here for a while, I
guess... so I'll get my computer and set it up here...
