Let's see... what happened yesterday?

Three left and are going to try to stay in Belle Chasse.. maybe until
Friday. They called last night... so... the PHONE WORKS in belle
Chasse... YIPPIE SKIPPIE!!

My friend from Chelan, WA flew into Baton Rouge yesterday morning and
we picked her up at the airport. She's spending the night here and will
start working with rescued animals tomorrow. Some animals, she thinks,
are exotic and she does bird rescue in the Chelan area. We'll take her
to the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center near Gonzales, LA. The outfit she is
working with is trying to match as many pets with owners as they can.
Think she'll be here about a week.

Debbie also brought with her, FIFTY POUNDS of Beanie Babies to give
away to some little ones. Some of them were from her own collection and
when folks in Chelan heard she was bringing Beanie Babies to give to
kids, they gave Debbie some of their own Beanies. We gave most of them
to a local shelter and the rest will go to a local elementary school
that has a bunch of new students that registered from the New Orleans
area.
